Territory Manager (Chicago, IL)
RespirTech’s Territory Manager represents the InCourage airway clearance therapy medical device, calling on pulmonologists and other healthcare providers to support patients with chronic respiratory and neuromuscular conditions on a journey to better breathing.
About the role
- Execute outside sales and territory management, including account management and new business development.
- Employ a hunter mentality to identify new opportunities, overcome objections, and change prescriber mindsets while achieving performance growth goals.
- Perform total office sales calls, in-services on patient profiles, product demonstrations, and present clinical evidence to physicians.
- Serve as an expert on Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance coverage criteria for InCourage vest therapy, educating healthcare teams on identifying qualifying patients.
- Obtain medical record documentation to secure coverage.
- Analyze data to target priority healthcare teams and optimize sales call routing, adjusting as needed for pipeline management.
- This is a field role requiring flexibility, with 90% of time spent in the territory (some overnight travel may be required).
Requirements
- 3+ years of successful direct field sales, clinical education, or clinical sales support experience.
- Previous durable home medical equipment and/or pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or similar, or 7+ years of relevant sales experience.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Must meet minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements for this sales position, with or without accommodation.
- Must reside in or within commuting distance to Chicago, IL.
- US work authorization is required; the company will not sponsor work visas now or in the future.
Pay
Total Target Earnings are composed of base salary plus target incentive. At 85% to 120% performance achievement, the target earning potential is $138,000 to $158,000 annually, plus a company fleet/car. Total compensation may vary based on individual performance.

Schedule
This is a field role with in-person work required at customer or supplier locations. Office-based teams work onsite at least 3 days per week, but this role operates primarily outside company facilities.
