About the role

The Territory Manager, Bleeding Disorders Program reports to the Director, Bleeding Disorders Program. This role focuses on building business by identifying and selling to prospects, maintaining and enhancing client relationships, and developing programs for chronic disease states to drive business expansion and client servicing.

Responsibilities

• Identifies business opportunities by evaluating prospects, analyzing sales options, and developing a territory business plan to meet goals.
• Sells services by establishing contact, developing relationships with prospects, and recommending solutions.
• Maintains client relationships by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities and service improvements.
• Identifies service improvements or new products by staying current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
• Remains competent as a product and disease state expert; participates in marketing and sales meetings, training programs, displays, and conventions.
• Completes company training, regulatory courses, and product knowledge training as assigned.
• Prepares weekly reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information; submits reports to the Director every Monday.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Maintains contact with Manufacturing Reps and Reimbursement Specialists to optimize customer relationships.
• Updates job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, and personal networks.
• Provides input into the design and content of regional meetings/conventions and makes presentations as necessary.
• Travels 50-80% of the time, including overnights and weekends.
• Identifies, coordinates, plans, and executes community-based educational opportunities.
• Attends local, community, and national events as required by the company.
• Adheres to professional standards, company policies, and federal, state, and local requirements, including URAC/TJC/ACHC standards of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in business or related fields (e.g., biology, sociology, psychology, communications); equivalent work experience may substitute for the degree.
• Strong customer focus, attention to detail, professionalism, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in medical teamwork, presentation skills, client relationships, negotiation, and prospecting.
• Ability to meet sales goals, creativity, sales planning, independence, and motivation for sales.
• Strong relationship-building skills; ability to maintain effective relationships with physicians, nurses, local hemophilia chapter directors, social workers, and other customers.
• Self-starter and independent contributor requiring minimal daily supervision.
• Highly proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and resource management skills.
• Ability to manage complex and changing calendars, interact effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds, and work independently to meet deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize a wide range of duties and projects while maintaining confidentiality.

Physical Demands

• Required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
• Must use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
