About the role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing sales activities within a designated territory or region, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and driving sales growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the industrial distribution market and a proven track record of success in sales management.

Responsibilities

  • Territory Management: Manage sales activities within the assigned territory or region, ensuring the achievement of sales growth, targets, and KPIs.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives within the territory.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill customer requirements and achieve a high level of satisfaction.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and implement long-term growth strategies with clients.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Coordinate activities leading to customer satisfaction and business growth.
  • CRM Management: Generate customer leads into opportunities and document them in the CRM system.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly management reports of new business achievements, activities, opportunities, and targets.
  • Sales Funnel Management: Drive sales opportunity funnel management in CRM and aligned digital sales tools to ensure opportunities are duly followed up, won, closed, and reported on promptly.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities related to the function comply with relevant corporate policies, business processes and procedures, Acts, legal and professional standards, and the SKF Code of Conduct.
  • EHS Compliance: Promote awareness of risk and safety requirements and ensure compliance with SKF EHS policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales management, business development, or a related role within the industrial distribution sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the industrial distribution market and its dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel 50% or as needed to meet customer and business needs.

  • Demonstrated achievement in past commercial or technical roles.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of maintenance practices.
  • Project management and common tools used for driving sales funnel management.
  • Advanced Office 365 skills (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Power BI).
