Terminal Utility

Responsibilities

• Load bulk and bag trucks from designated silos as instructed by the Terminal Manager.
• Operate packaging and blending machinery safely and efficiently to produce quality packaged materials.
• Ensure each load meets customer specifications within legal limits.
• Unload barges by mooring barges, hooking up unloading hoses and electrical cables, and monitoring the process.
• Safely operate manual unloading gates, air valves, and blowers during the unloading process.
• Clean all areas of the terminal and grounds.
• Obtain daily/weekly samples as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Able to lift 75 – 100 pounds on a regular and repeated basis.
• Able to lift and move large electrical cables and plugs for electrical connections.
• Able to bend, use a broom, and shovel.
• Able to work at heights up to 150 feet.
• Able to work in extreme heat and cold.
• Able to work in enclosed areas such as barges, dust collectors, and pump pits.
• Able to work in noisy and dusty conditions.
• Able to operate forklifts and tractors for cutting grass.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts up to 7 days a week.
• Able to work alone at night without immediate supervision.
• Able to read and comprehend safety and operating instructions.

Pay

The starting hourly rate for this position is $25.58.

Schedule

Works 12-hour shifts up to 7 days a week, including nights without immediate supervision.
