Terminal Supervisor

About the role

Ingram Marine Group is seeking a Terminal Supervisor for our Granite City, IL terminals. The Terminal Supervisor will manage a terminal business, ensuring financial performance, operational efficiency, and safety for all associates.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work performed at the terminal complies with OSHA and other government regulations, company policies, and procedures
• Schedule the safe and efficient handling of customer cargoes with the Director of Operations and Traffic Manager
• Engage with associates daily through visual, onsite management
• Oversee all facility associates and ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively
• Manage financial performance including P/L, capital expenditures, and third-party contractors
• Maintain and adjust facility budget as necessary on a monthly basis
• Assign work tasks as necessary based on company needs
• Coordinate barge, rail, and truck flow with the traffic department and customer service
• Coordinate maintenance requirements with the maintenance team and perform preventive maintenance during downtime or slow periods
• Communicate with the traffic department on barge, rail, and truck issues
• Develop, maintain, and provide operational feedback on KPIs across all modes of operation
• Assist the Director of Operations with conducting quarterly and annual facility audits

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of loading and unloading of barges, railcars, and trucks
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Leadership and development skills
• Five or more years of experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Additional Information

• Work Environment and Conditions: Working in all kinds of weather conditions, On-Call hours, Minimal travel, Be able to lift, climb, and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.)
• Hourly Pay: $35 per hour plus overtime pay
