Terminal Supervisor
HF Sinclair Midstream in Boise, ID is seeking a Terminal Supervisor to oversee all product movement in and out of the facility, including truck and rail loading/offloading, tank transfers, and pipeline receipts.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with pipeline scheduling and marketing departments
- Provide computer software training
- Determine work procedures, set priorities, prepare work schedules, and expedite terminal workflow
- Prioritize procurement of materials and equipment
- Assess current processes, evaluate appropriate software, and recommend automation and efficiencies
- Establish, maintain, and document procedures for department workflow; organize and conduct weekly meetings
- Analyze and develop solutions for problems arising within the department
- Prepare weekly payroll input, verify employee calculations, and maintain attendance and leave records
- Act as liaison between the terminal and other departments, as well as local, state, and federal regulatory authorities
- Coordinate training with municipal emergency services
- Verify terminal documents for accuracy of calculations, information, and approvals
- Handle escalated telephone calls and respond to department electronic mail
- Develop reports, isolate potential operational issues, and provide recommendations and ad hoc reports to management
- Complete special assignments or tasks as determined by supervisor
Requirements
- Minimum of seven years of related experience, with at least two years in a lead role
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Special training and/or certifications in computer accounting software and hazardous materials
- Significant energy industry and supervisory experience
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical calculation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Supervisory Responsibility
Directly supervises at least two employees.
Work Conditions
- Office and field-based role with 10% travel by land and air
- Exposure to refined petroleum products, warehouse/plant environment, and outdoor conditions
- Work involves chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, confined spaces, and electrical shock risks
- Subject to varying temperatures, weather, and road conditions

- Talking, hearing, visual inspections, precise hand and finger movements
- Reaching, grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 25 lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 25 lbs

- Ability to perceive color differences
- Operate and drive company vehicles; valid state driver’s license and proof of insurance required
- Wear personal protective equipment (beards not permitted)
