Terminal Supervisor
About the role
Under the direction of the Regional Logistics Manager, the incumbent will function as a working supervisor to unload propane rail cars, supervise the operations of the terminal, oversee the Rail Car inventory; complete daily and month end inventory reports; oversee loading of trucks; and perform maintenance and repairs on Terminal Equipment while operating in a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Take daily temperature, pressure and liquid level readings of the storage tanks and record
- Complete a daily inventory report
- Complete a month end inventory report
- Unload propane rail cars and be able to load rail cars
- Oversee the loading of LPG trucks and be able to unload LPG trucks
- Complete rail car and truck paper work
- Perform equipment maintenance and repairs
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Logistics Manager
Qualifications
- Two years' experience as a Terminal Operator for LPG Operations
- High school education or equivalent
- Mechanical experience dealing with pumps and compressors
- Experience in hazardous materials handling
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Capable of climbing a ladder and working on top of a rail car
- Must possess a valid driver's license
Skills
- Previous propane rail car and truck experience preferred
Pay
$32.50 to $33.50 per hour, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales depending on position.
