Terminal Superintendent

About the role
This on-site position is responsible for managing and overseeing all activities relating to operations, fuel deliveries, customer service, and maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities for a specific region.
Responsibilities
- Supervise employees involved in the wholesale and retail fuel business.
- Ensure the health and safety of all employees and customers.
- Review operating results to ensure budgeted goals are achieved and expenses are controlled.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with community leaders, local, state, and federal agencies.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Sales, Linehaul, and other departments as required.
- Build synergies with other highway terminals to deliver operational excellence and efficiencies.
- Hire and train employees, create and implement business strategies, and delegate tasks to team members.
Requirements
- Associate's degree (Bachelor's degree preferred; direct business experience may substitute for degree).
- 7+ years of general business experience, preferably in petroleum product sales and deliveries.
- 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience in planning and development of projects.
- Strong operational and process decision-making, creative problem-solving, and delegation skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management.
- CDL and/or commercial driving experience preferred.
- Subject to a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
Skills
- Effective communication skills.
- Experience developing, improving, and streamlining processes to meet goals.
- Project management experience across varying scopes.
- Budget development, review, and financial process understanding.
Working Conditions
- Works both inside an office and outside in extreme temperatures.
- May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels, and potentially dangerous equipment.
- Must be able to crouch, stoop, climb ladders, and work in restricted headroom areas.
- Extended computer use, including keyboard and monitor viewing, with ability to sit for long periods.

Pay
Salary range: $92,000 to $172,000. Pay is determined by work location and factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Position is located on Whidbey Island. This role is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated start in the first quarter of 2027. Employment offers will be conditional upon successful completion of pre-employment processes, including background checks, drug screening, and work eligibility verification. A government security clearance may be required.
