Terminal Operator-Maintenance

Star Staffing is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician for a Direct Hire opportunity located in San Joaquin County. Pay: $28.00-$37.00 per hour.

About the role

The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs and oversees all general maintenance duties for warehouse buildings, equipment, and rolling stock as directed by the Facilities Manager. This role requires general maintenance skills and competencies in mechanical, pneumatics, instrumentation, and welding. The technician is responsible for maintaining the terminal and all equipment in a safe and efficient working manner, setting up and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules (daily, weekly, and monthly).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and general maintenance procedures.
• Develop and implement a proactive preventive maintenance program.
• Constantly monitor product flow channels throughout the terminal to ensure minimal product buildup on and in all equipment, including conveyors, hoppers, and elevators.
• Participate in all mandated safety training and exercises.
• Train colleagues in maintenance duties; become proficient in the operation of warehouse pay-loaders.
• Develop a good understanding of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Maintain stock and all other warehouse equipment in a clean, safe, and efficient manner at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience.
• Welding experience.
• Electrical experience with high and low voltage.
• Strong mechanical/instrumentation skills, familiarity with conveyor systems and hydraulic pneumatic systems.
• Knowledgeable in various computer software programs, including MS Office Suite.
• Repetitively lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Pay

$70,000 annually ($28.00-$37.00 per hour).
