OPERATOR TERMINAL

About the Job

We're looking for a proactive and skilled Terminal Operator to join our team. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our terminal operations, ensuring that our products are handled, loaded, and shipped efficiently while maintaining the highest safety standards. You'll also be hands-on with equipment maintenance, playing a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the daily operations of the terminal, ensuring seamless logistics and customer service.
• Oversee the safe and efficient loading and unloading of bulk materials, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on terminal equipment, ensuring everything is in peak working condition.
• Uphold Cemex's rigorous safety standards, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers, resolving inquiries and issues with professionalism and efficiency.
• Work closely with the logistics team to optimize schedules and resources, contributing to the overall efficiency of operations.
• Assist in the training of new team members, sharing expertise to elevate team performance.

Qualifications

• Educational Foundation: High school diploma or GED required; additional certifications or training in welding, electrical work, or maintenance are a plus.
• Experience: Experience in terminal operations or a similar industrial setting is preferred.
• Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices. A positive, solution-oriented attitude, with the ability to work well with both customers and colleagues. Capability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and handle physically demanding tasks.

• Physical Requirements: Expect frequent lifting (up to 50 pounds), pushing, pulling, and operating equipment as part of your daily routine.

Pay

The expected base compensation for this position ranges from $22.06 to $31.52 per hour, depending on, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skill sets, experience, and education.
