Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Operate, inspect, and maintain equipment and systems at plant facilities which includes, but is not limited to: process controls and measurement, compressors, pumps, pump stations, pressure relief systems, instrument air systems, dehydrators, emergency shutdown systems, reciprocating compressors, and NGL storage and transfer facilities in a reliable and efficient manner while in compliance with the Partnership’s procedures and regulatory requirements
- Seek to optimize processing through facility by maintaining proper product specifications
- Monitor and control pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and levels to efficiently achieve desired operating results and ensure proper operation of equipment under current process conditions such as Start/Stop/Rate adjustment of equipment
- Respond to alarms and problems within the plant and take corrective measures
- Communicate with partnership control centers, business groups, and other operating groups as necessary
- Perform daily walk around inspections to identify potential risks and ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained
- Issue work permits to contractors performing work at the Terminal. This includes ensuring that pre-job safety meetings, lockout - tag-out, confined space entry, and gas tech monitoring requirements are met for all work performed at the Terminal
- Ensure that all terminal equipment is functioning properly and report failures to Supervisor
- Oversee the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties
- Inspect, maintain, and operate pipelines, valves, transmitters, and valve station equipment in a reliable and efficient manner while in compliance with the Partnership’s procedures and regulatory requirements
- Cover Damage Prevention activities including pipeline patrols, one-calls, locating and marking pipelines, and inspecting line crossings, excavations, and other activities affecting the pipeline
- Maintain working knowledge of regulatory requirements, perform required tasks, and complete associated documentation (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.)
- Cover Coordinate and communicate with outside parties including landowners, public agencies, contractors, utilities, and other pipeline operators
- Actively participate and provide leadership in safety programs and initiatives
- Provide on-call support for areas of responsibility on a rotating basis
- Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO)
- Remain knowledgeable of, and prepared to enact and coordinate the Emergency Response activities until relieved by supervisor or management personnel
- Communicate product outages and equipment downtime to supervisor, customers, and other impacted parties in a prompt fashion
- Comply with partnership safety policies and procedures
Required Education
- High school diploma or GED
Minimum Requirements
- 0-6 Months of relevant experience
Required Experience
- Level C: 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
- Level B: 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
- Level A: 4+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
