Responsibilities
- Load bulk trucks in a safe, efficient, and timely manner from designated silos as instructed by the Terminal Manager.
- Ensure each load meets customer specifications within legal limits.
- Spot railcars over the loading area to connect them with unloading equipment.
- Monitor the unloading process while safely operating manual unloading gates, air valves, and blowers.
- Adhere to company safety policies and perform work in a safe manner.
- Clean all areas of the terminal and grounds, and obtain daily/weekly samples.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Able to work extended hours, holidays, and/or overtime as required.
- Proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions.
- Good physical condition: able to bend, use a broom and shovel, lift and carry up to 100 lbs., sit and stand for extended periods, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on mixed terrain and in confined spaces.
- Ability to work at heights up to 150 feet.
- Ability to operate forklifts and tractors for cutting grass.
