Responsibilities
- Loading bulk trucks in a safe, efficient and timely manner from the designated silos, as instructed by the Terminal Manager.
- Ensuring each load is completed to the customer’s specification within legal limits.
- Unloading barges, which includes helping to moor the barges in the unloading area, hooking up unloading hoses.
- Continuously monitoring the unloading process, while safely operating manual unloading gates, air valves and blowers.
- Adhering to company safety policies and performing work in a safe manner.
- Cleaning all areas of the terminal and grounds, and obtaining daily/weekly samples.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required.
- Able to work different extended hours, holidays and/or overtime as required.
- Must have solid Industrial Mechanical skills, as will be performing routine maintenance.
- Speak, read, write and understand English.
- Able to work independently, without constant supervision.
- Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions.
- In good physical condition, able to bend, use broom and shovel, able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs., sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders and walk on mixed terrain and in confined spaces.
- Able to work at heights up to 150 feet.
- Able to operate forklifts and tractors for cutting grass.

Pay
The starting base rate for this position is $45,000/year ($21.63/hour).
