About the role

As a Transit Security Officer in Training (TSO-T), you will provide security services for employees, contractors, customers, and visitors. With the support of the Transit Police Unit (TPU), you will help maintain a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security patrols and monitor surveillance systems
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, coordinating with TPU as needed
• Enforce security policies and procedures
• Assist with access control and visitor management
• Prepare reports and maintain documentation of security-related activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and respond to emergencies for extended periods

Qualifications

• Previous security, law enforcement, or military experience is preferred but not required
• Completion of a security training program or willingness to complete one
• First Aid/CPR certification is a plus
