Teochew Remote Interpreter

About the role

This is a 100% over‑the‑phone interpretation position. You will work as a freelance interpreter (independent contractor) serving clients in industries such as insurance, finance, utilities, customer service and state courts. The role is fully remote, allowing you to set your own schedule and provide interpretation services 24/7 via CLI’s online portal or by phone.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States (SSN or EIN and a valid photo ID).
• Reside in the United States (interpreters located in California, New Jersey or New York are not currently being recruited).
• Professional interpreter able to work in a rare dialect or a language not currently listed on CLI’s job board.

Pay

Interpreters are paid on a per‑minute basis for every minute spent on the phone interpreting. Payments are issued twice a month, on the 15th and on the last day of the month, via direct deposit.

Schedule

As a work‑from‑home freelance interpreter you set your own hours and can log on or off at any time using CLI’s online portal or your phone, providing service whenever clients need it (24/7 availability).
