Tenured/Tenure - Track Faculty - Information Science
About the role
The Cornell University Department of Information Science (IS) in the Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science (Bowers CIS) invites applications for tenure-track and tenured faculty positions.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the department's research areas including qualitative, ethnographic, or interpretive methods from the social sciences and humanities; computational and quantitative social science approaches; or the study and design of interactions between human and AI systems.
- Teach courses in Information Science at the Ithaca campus.
- Participate in departmental and university-wide committees and initiatives.
- Advocate for and foster a diverse and inclusive environment.
Requirements
- Hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree by August 2025.
- Submit a cover letter, CV, research statement, teaching statement, and the names and email addresses for three references who will submit letters on the candidate's behalf.
- Highlight up to three significant pieces of work in the cover letter and research statement.
- Share experiences and/or approaches to fostering learning, research, service, and/or outreach in a diverse community.
