About the role
The Simons Center for Geometry and Physics at Stony Brook University seeks a Tenured Professor in Mathematics (also a Tenured Professor in the Mathematics department). The position is open to outstanding candidates in geometry (broadly construed) and related areas. The successful applicant will pursue creative, visionary research, mentor with a commitment to inclusivity, and participate in selecting and mentoring postdoctoral researchers. There are no teaching obligations or heavy administrative duties, and ample research resources are provided. The center collaborates closely with the C.N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics, the Physics and Mathematics departments, and benefits from Stony Brook University’s status as a flagship SUNY research institution.
