Tenure-Track/Tenured: Open Rank (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Full Professor)

Two 11-month, tenure-track/tenured faculty positions in Social and Administrative Pharmacy at the Texas A&M Rangel College of Pharmacy in College Station, with an anticipated start date of late Fall 2026/Spring 2027.

About the role

The recruited faculty member will develop and maintain a sustainable, extramurally-funded research program and contribute to the department’s research in areas such as pharmacoepidemiology, utilization and cost of medication and other health care services, sociobehavioral aspects of patient care, and health outcomes. Additional responsibilities include teaching in the College’s PharmD and/or PhD in pharmaceutical sciences programs (e.g., pharmacoepidemiology, public health, research methods, and biostatistics), mentoring students and postdocs, and fostering a collaborative environment.

Current departmental research areas with collaboration potential include pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, drug delivery and formulations, cardiovascular, diabetes, oncology, and infectious disease. The positions offer opportunities for applied and contract research, enhancing the College’s research portfolio, and contributing to its service mission.

A competitive start-up package is provided, and the start date is negotiable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a sustainable, extramurally-funded research program.
• Contribute to research in pharmacoepidemiology, utilization and cost of medication, sociobehavioral aspects of patient care, and health outcomes.
• Teach and assist in delivering courses in the PharmD and/or PhD programs (e.g., pharmacoepidemiology, public health, research methods, biostatistics).
• Mentor and advise students and postdoctoral researchers.
• Foster a positive, supportive, and collaborative environment.
• Engage in collaborative, applied, and contract research.
• Enhance the research portfolio and service mission of the College and University.

Requirements

• Earned Ph.D. in Social and Administrative Pharmacy or a related social science/health discipline.
• Active and productive research program with a documented track record of externally funded grants, commensurate with the rank applied for.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Track record of effective scholarship and funding.
• Previous teaching experience.
• Research interests that complement the strengths of the College.
