Tenure Track PhD Scientist

About the role

The Department of Medicine is seeking multiple full‑time, tenure‑track PhD scientists across all divisions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. This is a research‑focused position with no clinical responsibilities. Faculty members will engage in graduate and postdoctoral training, scholarly activities, and departmental service appropriate to their rank.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an independent, externally funded research program.
• Publish research findings in high‑impact, peer‑reviewed journals.
• Mentor trainees and foster collaboration across departments and disciplines.
• Participate in graduate and postdoctoral training programs.
• Contribute to scholarly activities and departmental service consistent with rank.

Qualifications

• PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Strong record of research productivity.
• Clear potential for sustained extramural funding.
• Eligibility for tenure‑track appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.
