About the role

The Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, is seeking candidates for several Assistant Professor positions on the tenure track.

Responsibilities

• Teaching responsibilities may include teaching students, residents, and/or fellows while engaged in clinical activities or serving as lecturer for divisional and/or school educational programs.
• Clinical responsibilities may include working in outpatient clinics and serving as an attending on the inpatient service within the hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania Health System and/or the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center (CMC VAMC).
• Research or scholarship responsibilities may include any aspect of basic science, clinical, translational, health policy, or health services research.

Requirements

• Applicants must have an M.D., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
• ABIM board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or its specialties is required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated productive track record during post‑doctoral research training.
• Ability to perform collaborative interdisciplinary science.
• Expected to establish an innovative, independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from government agencies, private foundations, and/or industry.
