About the role

The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track.

Responsibilities

• Teaching within the health system and/or VA system, including trainee mentorship and participation as an active member of Penn graduate programs based on the candidate’s research focus.
• Clinical care for patients at outpatient clinics and/or as an attending on the inpatient service.
• Establishing an innovative, independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from various sources, with a focus on fundamental lung biology research.

Requirements

• M.D./Ph.D degree.
• Board certified/eligible in Pulmonary Medicine and/or Critical Care Medicine.
• Demonstrated productive track record in research.

Candidates with a research program focused on pulmonary vascular biology or airways biology are particularly encouraged to apply.
