About the role
The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include teaching pulmonary and critical care fellows, house staff and medical students.
- Academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.
- May include attending on the inpatient and medical critical care service as well as providing services in the outpatient ILD clinic.
- May involve working with advanced practice providers and/or trainees.
- Required proficiency in consultation and diagnosis for ongoing treatment of critically ill patients in the ICU unit.
- May require rounding on the inpatient services for advanced lung disease and participating in a busy outpatient clinical practice at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and the Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center.
- Nocturnal service coverage may be required.
Requirements
- An M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
- Board certification in Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care.

- Experience with critical care and pulmonology.
