The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track.
Qualifications
- M.D./Ph.D degree
- Board certified/eligible in Pulmonary Medicine and/or Critical Care Medicine
Responsibilities
- Teaching within the health system and/or VA system, including trainee mentorship and participation as an active member of Penn graduate programs based on the candidate’s research focus
- Clinical care for patients at outpatient clinics and/or as an attending on the inpatient service
- Establishing an innovative, independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from various sources; candidates must demonstrate a productive track record with an ability to perform fundamental lung biology research
