Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Neuroscience

The Department of Neuroscience at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. Expertise is required in basic neuroscience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in medical school basic science education.
• Provide graduate training through affiliation with one or more of the inter-departmental, interdisciplinary graduate groups of the Biomedical Graduate Studies (BGS) program.
• Develop an independent research program synergistic with the scientific interests of one or more research institutes and centers, and other laboratories in the department, school, and university.
• Incorporate innovative machine-learning-based approaches in studies.
• Apply human cell-based models for mechanistic studies.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
• Expertise in basic neuroscience.
