About the role

The Department of Veterinary Pathobiology (VTPB) in the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (VMBS) at Texas A&M University (TAMU) invites applications for a full-time, 9-month appointment faculty position starting August 1, 2027, as part of a cluster hire initiative for Translational Research in Infection and Immunity.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the College’s code of professional conduct
  • Develop and sustain a vigorous, externally funded research program
  • Contribute to collaborative, interdisciplinary scholarship
  • Teach courses in the Biomedical Sciences (BIMS) Undergraduate and Graduate Programs
  • Contribute to the professional DVM curriculum
  • Engage in professional organizations and community service

Requirements

  • PhD in Microbiology, Virology, Parasitology, Immunology, or related disciplines with dissertation research and postdoctoral training in infection and immunity
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Qualifications

  • DVM and PhD preferred but not required

  • Interdisciplinary perspectives and collaborative approaches

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Schedule

This position is part of a collaborative cluster hire supporting the TAMU initiative on Translational Research in Infection and Immunity - a multidisciplinary effort spanning multiple colleges, including the VMBS, the School of Public Health, and the Bush School of Government & Public Service.
