Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Computational Biophysics

The Department of Physics & Astronomy at McMaster University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track research-stream faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in computational biophysics, starting July 1, 2027.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline completed by the start date of the appointment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a vibrant program of excellent research in computational biophysics, including but not limited to:
  • Molecular dynamics and multiscale simulation
  • AI and data-driven approaches to biological systems
  • Computational modelling of biomolecular structure, dynamics, and self-organization
• Demonstrate high-quality teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate students.
• Make substantive service contributions to the McMaster community.
• Actively contribute to the goals of equity, diversity, and inclusivity at McMaster.
