Tenure Track Assistant Professor-Chemistry and Biochemistry
About the role
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Seton Hall University invites applications for a full-time tenure track assistant professor position beginning in Fall 2026. We are seeking an outstanding teacher-scholar with expertise in one or more of the areas of analytical, organic or biochemistry and/or at their interfaces, e.g. bio-analytical, bio-organic.
Responsibilities
- Build a highly visible, externally funded research program in the area of interest
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate research students
- Teach introductory and advanced undergraduate and graduate courses
- Involvement in service at the department, college, and university levels
Requirements
- Hold a PhD in chemistry, biochemistry or a closely related discipline
- Have postdoctoral experience
- Demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching
