Tenure-Tenure Stream Assistant to Professor Position - Environmental & Occupational Health
About the role
The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, School of Public Health (SPH), invites applications for a tenure/tenure stream faculty at the assistant to full professor level. We are seeking faculty candidates with transdisciplinary experience in the environmental health sciences, toxicology, and molecular epidemiology.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrated potential for independent research.
- Ability to contribute to graduate-level teaching and mentoring.
- Strong record of peer-reviewed publications and extramural funding.
- Evidence of successful graduate teaching and mentoring.
- Experience in collaborative, interdisciplinary research.
- Sustained record of high-impact publications and significant extramural funding.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring at multiple levels.
- Ability to shape departmental strategy and foster transdisciplinary initiatives.
Requirements
MD/PhD or an equivalent doctoral-level degree. Preferred background in Env Health Sciences, Toxicology, and molecular epidemiology or similar field.
Qualifications
Candidates will be expected to develop or have an established independent and sustainable research program within the collaborative departmental environment. The candidate’s research approach and experience will inform their participation in the department’s teaching mission, which includes MS and PhD programs, as well as an MPH program accredited by the National Environmental Health Association.
Skills
Expertise in the environmental pathology and appropriate epidemiologic methods, as well as integration of responses within the exposome.
