About the role
The Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey invites applications for one or more full-time Tenure or Tenure-track faculty positions in the Department of Surgery, Division of Acute Care Surgery (ACS), at any appropriate rank.
Responsibilities
- Develop or maintain an independent research program focused on the prevention of high-risk emergency surgery.
- Collaborate with colleagues to advance surgical research and education.
- Lead initiatives in surgical research within the department and contribute to the broader academic community.
- Engage in clinical research activities, maintaining clinical practice in the ACS division.
- Secure and maintain federal funding for research projects, aiming for R01-level grants by the fourth year.
