Tennis Coach or Tennis Volunteer in Hacienda Heights

About the role

This is an on-site contract role for a Tennis Coach or Tennis Volunteer located in Hacienda Heights, CA. The Tennis Coach will provide tennis instruction, develop training programs, and assist with player development. Daily tasks include conducting practice sessions, offering one-on-one and group lessons, and ensuring proper technique and safety. The coach will engage with students to provide support and encouragement and will be involved in organizing and managing events and activities. Tennis volunteers will assist the coach and receive valuable coaching experience while learning how to be a great tennis coach.

Responsibilities

• Provide tennis instruction to youth and multi-generational families
• Develop and implement training programs for players of all skill levels
• Conduct practice sessions, including one-on-one and group lessons
• Ensure proper technique and safety during all activities
• Engage with students to offer support, encouragement, and mentorship
• Organize and manage tennis events and activities
• Assist in setting up short courts and STEM-based tennis workshops

Requirements

• Strong tennis instruction and playing skills
• Experience in training and player development
• Ability to work well with children and adults of diverse backgrounds
• Relevant certifications or credentials in tennis coaching (a plus)
• First aid and CPR certification (beneficial)
