Job Summary
You will deliver compassionate, high-quality care that impacts patients' well-being and recovery. You will assess patients, develop and evaluate care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Performs complete patient assessment.
- Recognizes significant changes in patient status and seeks appropriate resources.
- Captures and verifies physician orders for procedures, medications, and therapies.
- Absorbs patient and significant other's knowledge base, ability, and readiness to learn.
- Teaches patients, significant others, and staff based on their developmental age.
- Delegates tasks based on census, staffing, patient, and unit needs.
- Maintains current knowledge of clinical and operational policies.
- Engages in peer review and participates in the orientation of team members.
- Utilizes conflict resolution to promote a cohesive team.
- Ensures effective and wise use of resources, monitoring for cost containment.
- Facilitates appropriate length of hospital stay.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support - CPR certification.
