About the role

A temporary/lab research position is needed to work in the soybean research lab to take agronomic notes, collect data, and harvest soybean research plots in the field. This position will work in the seed lab to weigh and clean samples, thresh individual plants, and prepare seed for spring planting.

Responsibilities

• Take agronomic notes, collect data, and harvest soybean research plots in the field environment. 45%
• Work in seed lab weighing and cleaning samples, threshing individual plants, and preparing seed for replanting in spring. 45%
• Greenhouse work of planting, harvesting, and cleaning. 10%

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.

Physical Demands

Lifting up to 50 lbs and overtime hours during the planting and harvesting season. Working in the fields and greenhouse in extreme heat. Traveling.
