Requirements

Eligible permanent metropolitan teachers can apply for this temporary vacancy if they:

  • are a permanent metropolitan teacher
  • are not in their first year of permanency
  • are not currently undergoing performance management

Please note that part-time and flexible arrangements will be considered.

Qualifications

To be considered, address the following in your application response:

  • Describe a time when you adapted your teaching in response to the individual strengths, needs, or barriers of a learner or group of learners. What did you notice, what did you change, and how did you know your approach was making a difference?
  • Describe how you have intentionally developed students' capacity to become more independent and agentic learners. Provide an example of how you have used language, questioning, routines, or other strategies to help students understand themselves as learners, persist through challenge, and take greater responsibility for their learning.
  • Describe a time when evaluating your teaching practice led you to make a change to your approach. What prompted the change, what did you do differently, and what impact did this have on students?

Pay

$84,971 - $123,236 per annum (full-time equivalent).

Schedule

Tenure: January 20, 2027 to January 26, 2028. Fraction of time: 1.0 (full-time).
