About the Team

This position is within the Operating Partnerships, Flow Through Entities and Family Offices, Private Client Services practice, focusing on tax services for Family Offices. The team assists clients with complex financial matters tied to their business, individual, and familial needs. Ideal candidates will demonstrate executive presence, emotional intelligence, a growth mindset, and a collaborative spirit, contributing to client teams, thought leadership, webinars, and seminars while remaining results-focused.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts
• Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables
• Develop detailed engagement work plans, budgets, and schedules
• Actively participate in proposals
• Manage a team of staff associates, including interns, while providing regular performance coaching and feedback
• Build respect and confidence through effective client management, timely communication, and clear direction

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Accounting or Taxation preferred
• CPA, JD, or EA preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm
• Exceptional client service and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
• Strong tax research and writing skills
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Competence with tax compliance and research software (Go Systems, BNA portfolio, CCH, RIAS)
• Solid project management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask

Pay

In California, the salary range for Tax Senior Associates is $80,000 – $115,000. Salary determination varies based on geographical location, qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies. The total rewards package also includes a discretionary performance bonus.

Schedule

This is a hybrid position, with team members expected to be in the office an average of 3 days per week. The cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, emphasizing intentional in-person collaboration.
