6.5 hours per day (8:35 a.m. to 3:35 p.m.), Monday through Friday, from approximately August 31 through December 8, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Assist student(s) with special needs throughout the school day with instruction in basic skills, social skills and routine assistance for students who need support with managing extreme behaviors, toileting, hygiene, medical and mobility needs
- Supervise special education student(s) to ensure safety
- Assist with collecting and monitoring of student progress data
Requirements
- High School diploma
- Highly Qualified per MDE requirements for special education paraprofessionals*
- Acceptance of students' disabilities and limitations
- Must be able to lift, pull, or move a minimum of 50 pounds
- Accepts direction from supervising teacher(s) and is willing to work as a team
- Attach passing exam scores from either the ParaPro / ParaEducator or college transcripts to your application
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and criminal background check
Pay
Salary based on the 2025-2027 School Support Employees Agreement Level VI from $20.58 up to $22.91 per hour.
