Temporary Special Education Level V Paraprofessional

6.5 hours per day (8:35 a.m. to 3:35 p.m.), Monday through Friday, beginning immediately through approximately October 9, 2026 with the possibility of extended time.

Responsibilities

• Assist student(s) with special needs in the classroom (i.e. behavior management, social skills, crisis intervention and instruction in basic skills)
• Supervise special education student(s) to ensure safety
• Assist with collecting and monitoring of student progress data

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Highly Qualified per MDE requirements for special education paraprofessionals*
• Acceptance of students' disabilities and limitations
• Must be able to lift, pull, or move a minimum of 50 pounds
• Accepts direction from supervising teacher(s) and is willing to work as a team
• Attach passing exam scores from either the ParaPra / ParaEducator or college transcripts to your application

Pay

Salary based on the 2025-2027 School Support Employees Agreement Level V from $20.58 up to $22.91 per hour.
