About the role
The Public Policy and Administration Department is seeking a Temporary Social Media Outreach Coordinator to support recruitment and outreach objectives through digital communications.
Responsibilities
- Plans, drafts, and schedules departmental content across social media, websites, newsletters, and advertising campaigns.
- Transforms departmental updates and messaging into engaging, accessible digital content for diverse audiences.
- Maintains departmental websites and online platforms to ensure information remains current, accurate, and user-friendly.
- Designs and updates promotional materials, including flyers, graphics, brochures, presentations, and recruitment collateral.
- Tracks, compiles, and reports digital media analytics in partnership with the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) Marketing and Communication Team.
- Recommends strategies to strengthen departmental visibility, audience engagement, recruitment efforts, and public outreach.
- Gathers and organizes stories, images, and key information from faculty, staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders for use in departmental communications.
- Performs other communications, marketing, outreach, and related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of experience in a related field; OR
- Six (6) years of experience in a related field; OR
- An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Pay
$16.00–$18.00 per hour.
