Temporary Security Officer
About the role
Securitas USA Security Officers help maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises, patrolling a variety of locations, preserving order, and enforcing site regulations. Officers frequently provide customer service and information to client employees and visitors. This temporary position runs from November 15, 2026 to January 10, 2027, with potential for full-time employment based on performance. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available.
Responsibilities
- Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client site
- Provide for the security and safety of client property and personnel
- Patrol a variety of locations (may involve climbing stairs, walking inclines, and uneven terrain)
- Preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for the client site
- Provide customer service and information to client employees and customers
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to pass drug screen and background check
- Meet and maintain all applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards
- Physical ability: frequent sitting, standing, and walking for long periods
- Frequent lifting/moving up to 10 pounds; occasional lifting/moving up to 25 pounds
Qualifications
No prior security experience necessary. Candidates with retail, food service, or hospitality backgrounds are a great fit; comprehensive training is provided for those new to the security industry.

$17.00 per hour
Schedule
Temporary assignment: November 15, 2026 – January 10, 2027. Full-time and part-time positions available; full-time employment possible at end of term based on performance.
