Temporary Seasonal General Laborer

About the role

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a highly motivated Temporary Seasonal General Laborer with a great attitude and strong work ethic. This position will support day-to-day field operations and assist with ground clearing and tree removal, vegetation management, and general labor duties. This is a temporary seasonal position expected to last approximately 6-10 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads equipment
• Large debris pickup
• Performs mowing and weed-eating
• Performs weed cutting and removal
• Tree cutting experience is a plus
• Drives company vehicles
• Uses all power tools safely
• Uses all equipment safely
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Ability to follow directions
• Mowing, weed-eating, tree removal experience
• Must have a valid driver's license with a 5-year clean MVR
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and federal background check
• Ability to travel out of state
• Ability to be gone for 2 weeks if needed
• Ability to lift 50–60 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

Qualifications

• Prior vegetation spraying, landscaping, painting, tree work, or grounds maintenance experience preferred

Pay

$22-24 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Schedule

Temporary seasonal position – approximately 6-10 weeks.
