Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights To Be Compliant With The New Fleet Vehicle Policy, Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) Will Be Pulled For Review
- To Be Compliant With The New Fleet Vehicle Policy, Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) Will Be Pulled For Review For Workers Who Must be 16 years of age or older
- Must have a current and valid driver’s license required for operating a state vehicle and an acceptable driving record
- Possess basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite)
- Experience performing data entry
- Willingness to be flexible with the weekday work schedule
- Ability to travel occasionally with overnight stays including camping
- Ability to work in and around the water
- Pursuant to the DNR-120 Fleet and Driving Standards Administrative Directive, any worker who will be expected to drive a State-owned vehicle is responsible for maintaining a safe driving record and a valid driver license prior to driving any State-owned vehicle
- Have an assigned State fleet vehicle
- Are required to operate a vehicle as part of the position
- Utilize a State fleet vehicle as a pool vehicle
Preferred Requirements
- B.S. in natural resources/botany/fisheries/wildlife or other natural resource field OR at least 1 year completed coursework toward a degree in the field
- Experience performing administrative duties
- Experience with customer service
- Experience performing technical writing and editing and document management
- Experience with zebra mussel, quagga mussel, New Zealand mudsnail, Eurasian watermilfoil, or other invasive species
- Experience conducting biological field surveys especially with aquatics and/or water quality including performing species identification
- Experience planning and analyzing biological field surveys and survey data
- Experience with ArcGIS software
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and multitask
