Duties/Responsibilities
- Horticulture crop care including potting, transplanting, trellising, pest monitoring, manual pollinations, data recording, weeding, utilize weed-eater and apply herbicides.
- Harvesting will also be required.
- Lab work involving fruit quality analysis, data entry, and seed processing and cataloging.
About the role
The Research Assistant will help with all aspects of Dr. Ogden’s CEA breeding program. This will involve a combination of greenhouse, lab, and field work with primary location at Bledsoe Research Farm in Williamson.
Qualifications
Basic Horticulture Skills Are Required For This Position.
Physical Demands
Work includes presence in hot, humid conditions. Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds max. Bending and stretching to provide crop care.
