About the role
University Health Services is a dynamic, fast-paced college health practice committed to providing excellent health care to the students of the University of Notre Dame.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate students presenting with acute illnesses, minor injuries, or mental health crises to determine clinical priority in clinic and through triage.
- Provide patient care based on severity of illness and level of services needed.
- Educate patients on diagnosis, treatment plan, medication use, and continuing care needs.
- Vaccine administration, allergy immunotherapy, CLIA waived testing such as flu and strep, triage of patient's symptoms, and autoclave maintenance.
- Maintain medical records and other healthcare documents according to requirements to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Participate in quality improvement activities of the department and occasionally attend departmental meetings.
- Thoughtfully consider the unique needs of the college student including academic expectations, housing arrangements, and social concerns.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN, diploma, or BSN).
- Current Indiana RN license or active RN license from another state with endorsement in progress.
Qualifications
- Accountable for maintaining licensure and skills required to perform job duties.

- Participates in mandatory safety screening, such as drug screens and other training as needed.
- Maintain basic CPR life-saving certification; will be provided as needed.

Pay
Hourly rate: $30.00/hour; Up to 16 hours/week.
Schedule
This is a temporary on-call position for up to 16 hours a week.
