Temporary Production Worker 3rd shift
The Role

Location: Bakersfield, CA.
FLSA Status: Hourly - Non-Exempt
Shift: 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:30am)
Employment Category: Full-Time Temporary
Pay Range: $17.00 to $19.00/hr
What You’ll Be Responsible For In This Role
The Production Worker is responsible for packaging and stacking boxes onto a pallet while maintaining a clean work area. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, ability to take initiative and a proactive mindset. Hand pack and stack boxes on a pallet in an organized manner throughout shift
Perform quality checks on product to ensure proper and accurate labeling
Avoid any discrepancies in the "best by" date and notify Supervisor of any discrepancies
Maintain a clean and safe work environment that is free of debris
Communicate openly with co-workers to inform them of any unusual or potentially dangerous working conditions
Assist in other areas of the facility as needed
Support equipment operators in changeover conveyor railings
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High School/GED or one to two years’ experience in related field or combination of both education and experience
- Aptitude to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
- Adept of teamwork and competence to follow instructions.
- Capability to use required tools to perform job duties.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules which includes weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
- Pro-active mindset with the ability to apply common sense and sound judgement under minimal supervision.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
Additional Required Qualifications
- Experience working on a production line in a food/beverage company.
- One year of experience in a production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on a production line in a food/beverage company.
- One year of experience in a production environment.
Physical Demands
- Environmental exposure to wet and humid conditions.
- Material exposure, moving mechanical parts and equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks etc).
- Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Must be able to lift/push-pull/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period.
- Exposure to extreme cold temperatures (34°F degrees or below).
