TEMPORARY Production Associate

About the role

We are seeking a Production Associate to join our team. This role is part of a larger family of Employee-Owners at Central States Manufacturing, Inc., one of the nation's largest producers of metal roofing and siding.

Responsibilities

• Follows all plant safety procedures and uses PPE.
• Holds team members accountable for safety, environmental control, process control, and quality control.
• Reports machinery issues to maintenance.
• Cleans and resets assigned equipment and designated areas.
• Accurately updates records and visual tracking.
• Cross-trains and works in various production positions.
• Performs production tasks using low-complexity equipment and tools.
• Coats or touches up finished goods.
• Marks or tags materials with job numbers and other identifiers.
• Assists in different production processes by loading, unloading, and moving materials and finished products.
• Supports overall operations and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate assigned tasks and cross-train in similar jobs or jobs one level up on complexity.
• Good/excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Customer and detail-oriented.
• Continuous improvement mindset with ability to suggest process and workflow improvements.
• Basic math skills and ability to use common measuring tools.
• Ability to learn production operations.

Pay

$15 - $17 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Variable schedule, including weekends and other shifts as needed.
