Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on all assigned products and their functionalities to drive tactical product execution.
  • Gather requirements and create appropriate functional and business artifacts, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), user stories, user flows, and meeting notes.
  • Partner with the Product Manager to groom and maintain the product backlog in Jira, understanding the technical nuances behind business requirements.
  • Document complex data flows, business rules, and technical prerequisites for AI integrations and external data platforms.
  • Act as the first line of defense for product issues and bug triaging across the CDS portfolio.
  • Investigate user-reported issues, reproduce errors, and perform root-cause analysis on data anomalies before routing actionable tickets to the appropriate engineering or ML data teams.
  • Create business test cases and support user acceptance testing (UAT) during QA functional testing to clear blockers and ensure high-quality deployments.

Competitive Research & Stakeholder Communication

  • Translate complex backend technical concepts (Machine Learning, Gen AI, Simulation models) into clear, customer-centric value propositions for stakeholders.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive research on emerging AI solutions, STEM data platforms, and industry trends to ensure developing products provide differentiated value to the market.
  • Provide regular, structured, technical updates to cross-departmental business stakeholders (marketing, sales, leadership) to improve transparency and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in user story definition, acceptance criteria, and creating detailed technical documents.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management and documentation tools.
  • Strong documentation, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to see the big picture while maintaining an eye for detail.
  • Excellent spoken and written communications skills in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with sponsors from different divisions with diverse perspectives.
