About the role
The Department of Campus Enterprise is composed of multiple specialized work units, each responsible for distinct services that collaborate seamlessly to ensure the diverse operational and everyday needs of the campus community are met efficiently and effectively. Employees in this department work collaboratively to ensure that students, faculty, staff, and visitors receive reliable, efficient, and customer-focused support.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming equipment and supplies ordered by University departments.
- Manage shipments delivered by common carriers (e.g., UPS, Overnight, FedEx).
- Process and document all incoming deliveries.
- Deliver received equipment and supplies to the appropriate University departments.
- Cook up and handle vendor returns.
- Accurately track and route all incoming and outgoing items.
- Pick up and sort all incoming USPS mail from the Post Office for the University.
- Deliver sorted mail across the University according to daily scheduled runs.
- Conduct scheduled pickup and delivery runs throughout the University community.
- Collect outgoing USPS mail and interoffice mail from University departments.
- Ensure timely and accurate routing of all incoming, outgoing, and interoffice mail.
- Issue new Bronco Cards to students, faculty, staff, and authorized personnel.
- Replace lost, stolen, or damaged ID cards.
- Verify eligibility and identity before issuing cards.
- Maintain accurate records of all ID card transactions.
- Troubleshoot card-related issues such as access failures or account errors.
- Manage cardholder accounts, including updates, activations, and deactivations.
- Provide customer service and support for all Bronco Card inquiries.
- Cook up with campus departments to ensure proper access permissions and system updates.
- Set up and prepare the venue for events, including seating, staging, and equipment.
- Operate and maintain audiovisual, lighting, and sound equipment during events.
- Provide on-site support to event organizers, performers, and presenters.
- Ensure the auditorium is clean, safe, and presentable before and after events.
- Enforce facility policies and safety regulations.
- Manage equipment inventory, storage, and maintenance.
- Address technical or logistical issues that arise during events.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Six months to one year of relevant experience in the area of interest.
Qualifications
- Communicates routine and general information to staff, clients, and/or public about standard services, processes, and procedures using prescribed or established guidelines.
- Screens and directs clients /visitors to appropriate source.
- Uses a variety of office equipment information systems (e.g. telephone, computer with standard software, fax, copier, etc.) to access, input, and verify standard information.
- Operates and performs tasks to maintain equipment with a general understanding of its capabilities.
- Cooks up tasks and establishes priorities in response to work flow of the office or work unit.
