Temporary Part-Time Street Maintenance Worker

Responsibilities

• Trimming trees
• Cutting grass
• Working at city events or projects
• Operating machinery such as bucket truck, backhoe, loader, small tractor, boom mower, bush hog, front mount mower, zero turn, chain saws, pole saw, weed eater, skid steer, and forklift
• Assisting other crews in project completion
• Mowing rights-of-way and medians
• Trimming and removing trees and bushes
• Placing traffic cones and/or using traffic signs and flags for traffic control
• Hauling dirt, debris, rock, solid waste, and landfill material in small trucks

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year of experience in a job-related field
• Valid Driver's License
• Passes background check, physical, and drug screen

Physical Demands

The work is heavy, requiring the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly.
