Temporary Part-Time Family Spirit Home Visitor

About the role

The temporary part-time Family Spirit Home Visitor provides primarily telehealth services, with occasional in-home visits, to support pregnant individuals, new parents, and families.

Responsibilities

• Promote prenatal and postpartum health, infant development, safe sleep practices, and parent education.
• Connect families to healthcare, housing, food, childcare, doula services, and other community resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation and program records in accordance with agency standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 2–3 years of experience working with communities and families in a community-based setting.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to work effectively with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience working with pregnant individuals, infants, parents, and families in culturally responsive settings is strongly preferred.
• Must complete required Family Spirit training through Johns Hopkins University.
• Ability to work independently.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.

Pay

$25 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time, 20 hours per week, with some evening and weekend hours.
