- 5 years of 911 EMS experience

Essential Functions
As a clinical instructor, duties include precepting the EMS students while on clinical rotations in Houston area hospitals, and/or serving as a clinical instructor for skills instruction on campus. The courses are offered in the fall and spring semesters with clinical rotations typically occurring for three months in the middle of the semester. The students attend rotations in small groups of 3 or 4 at a time, so between the two classes we typically have 30-40 shifts to cover each semester. Preceptors serve as clinical skills instructors in the ER setting, working with students to demonstrate appropriate patient assessment, teach hands-on skills such as physical exam, vitals, and interventions, and teach EMS documentation. There is the opportunity for additional shifts to be taken on as an EMS Provider for large scale campus events that may occur on campus throughout the year.
Pay
Hourly Hiring Range: $21-$28 (weekly hours vary: 1-20 hours a week). Pay varies for this position based on level of experience and certification. Non-Exempt (hourly) positions under FLSA are eligible for overtime.
