Temporary Medical Assistant - gain experience in Clinical Research

DelRicht Research is seeking a Temporary Medical Assistant to join our New Orleans team in an onsite, patient-facing role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to build hands-on experience in healthcare, research, and patient care while working in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role is ideal for a candidate who is excited to learn from the ground up, take ownership of their work, and contribute to both the patient experience and the operational success of clinical trials.

About the Role

This is a temporary position slated to last 12 weeks with the possibility of extension, based on trial volume. The Medical Assistant supports high-quality study execution and helps expand site capacity in a busy clinical research environment. The role is onsite Monday-Friday, 40+ hours per week, with a demanding schedule requiring flexibility to support a busy clinic environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into a professional, supportive, and efficient clinic environment throughout their study participation.
• Prepare for and carry out clinical visits with strong attention to detail to ensure study procedures and documentation requirements are completed accurately.
• Strengthen site capacity by helping the team manage a high volume of patient visits and related study activity.
• Handle patient communication consistently to support attendance, engagement, and continuity across scheduled trial visits.
• Maintain study-related information in a timely manner across required systems and records.
• Support clinic flow through effective coordination with physicians, team members, and study stakeholders.
• Provide responsive, professional communication and a strong onsite experience for sponsors, clients, and research partners.
• Support the site leadership team by demonstrating accountability, sound judgment, and readiness to learn clinical research operations from the ground up.

Requirements

• Required: Medical Assistant or higher level licensing.
• Preferred: Experience or exposure in healthcare, patient-facing environments, or roles that build familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA, charting, or clinic flow.
• No clinical research experience required—training will be provided.

Pay

Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000
